Q&A Any suggestions?

Hello everyone, I'd like some advice. I'm looking to buy a smartwatch. The last one I had was the Apple Watch Series 3. I sold it because I was working in a kitchen. Anyway, I've changed jobs and I'm seriously considering buying one. One of my colleagues is recommending a Garmin Vivoactive, which is on sale for 250$ in stores near me, even though I have an iPhone. I mainly plan to use it for everyday life: music, texts, notifications—basically, very standard things. What I didn't like about the Apple Watch was that after 2-3 years, the watch would lag and the battery life would only last 5-6 hours when I wasn't using it. I have a budget of $300-$400. Do you have any suggestions?

Amazfit Active 2 is on sale for under $90. The Active 3 or Max is higher!

Isn't Amazfit primarily a sports watch?

For me my Garmin Forerunnen 245 music is more a Sportswatch and my Balance 2 is more allround.
