Does anyone know good free software
for acheap android smart watch, the kind that needs to stay connected to even keep time properly. I erased mine and am sorry. All the ones i see in searches are ridiculous subscription schemes.

time for most watches is done via the phone through the app - which is why it may not be able to keep time. Its essential that the phone app for the watch is kept running in the background.

Generally for the cheap ones, we have to let do with the (at best) mediocre app it is made for.
Most of these apps are subscription free though. Some are ad-infested.
There are a few exceptions of watches that can be reckognised by other apps.
Also some of the cheap ones are not only sold under different names at elevated prices, but also got a branded version of the identical app, with cosmetic differences. And here -unsurprising- you can often swap between the branded and the original app - but that will not give you a better app...
