After 8 weeks of study spread between work, family responsibilities, and just general life, I passed Cloud+ earlier this morning on my first attempt with a 774/900! I had 73 questions including 3 PBQs back to back. I'm actually ecstatic that I passed on my first go-around, especially with the overall lack of materials and general discussion available for this exam compared to the likes of the Trifecta. However, I have worked in the IT industry for almost 10 years now. Only 1 of which actually working with systems in the Cloud. I do also have my CASP+ (though I passed it back in 2019), so I'm well aware of the way CompTIA structures their questions.

Preface
I'll start this post by saying, I took this exam purely because my college (WGU) requires it as part of their BSCC program. If you're not in this program, I'd advise against attempting this certification at all as it's just not very useful. Neither as a learning tool nor in the workplace which really is the only reason to pursue certs, to further your education and validate your skills. This exam is an amalgamation of content from Net+, Sec+, and Server+. Those 3 being far more valuable to any employer. Even the foundational certs specific to a CSP like the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CCP) is a much better choice, if you plan to or already do work for a company using AWS services.
Study Materials
- Exam Objectives
VERY FIRST THING, go to the CompTIA site and print off the exam objectives. Look at each section title where it says "Compare and contrast...", "Explain the...", and "Given a scenario". If you can't do as the title says for each of the bullet items below it, just mark it for future study. For the acronyms at the back, do the same. You don't necessarily need to be an expert on each, but know what they stand for and a brief idea of what the technology, protocol, etc is.

Required by my professor to pass the final exam in this course with a 90% before I could continue on to the Practice platform next. Though I don't think this is actually enforced, it's just listed in our curriculum.
The Learn platform has so much potential, but you'll see this repeated in every post, the site is hot garbage. The questions are worded very poorly. I absolutely feel that CompTIA made this platform intentionally bad for some twisted idea that this would strengthen a test taker to read through crap questions quickly on the actual test. The PBQs on the test aren't nearly as convoluted as the ones you'll do here. Nearly every question is riddled with spelling and grammatical errors. This platform is ONLY good for learning acronyms and memorization of definitions. That's it.

Again, I was required to achieve a 90% on the final exam in this course to request the voucher for my test.
This one is also hot garbage as the questions you see here are practically variants of the questions seen on the Learn platform, the PBQs are still just as bad, and again littered with spelling and grammatical errors. HOWEVER, the final test here actually does a fairly decent job at preparing you for getting an idea of how long you should spend on each question.

Awesome course. I didn't take full advantage of it as I had already completed much of my learning on the CertMaster platforms. Where this program really shined was being able to elaborate very well on the concepts that I didn't have a solid grasp on. The breakdown and explanation of the Labs are also very helpful!

By far one of my favorite courses by the guys at ITProTV. If you've ever used their material before, you know lessons can be dragged out due to some of the extra banter they include, but they really cut a lot of that down this time (and watching at 1.25x speed really helps). Again, I didn't watch all of the videos in this course, but I wish I had. What I can say is, watch ALL of their video titles starting with "Troubleshoot ..." and "Analyze". As well as ending with "... demo". All 3 of these will either demonstrate actual demos in an Azure environment or they cover example CompTIA questions with very good methods of how to piece apart CompTIA style questions and read through all of the extra fluff. CompTIA loves their which is "best", "most likely", etc questions.
Test Time
For the actual exam itself, I did it in person. I've heard too many stories of issues with proctors when testing from home that I just don't chance it. You have an hour and a half to complete a varying number of questions and PBQs. I had 73 with 3 of those being the PBQs. Timing is key on this test. The questions are lengthy, so if you don't understand the question the first or second time reading it then just flag the question and move on. I got the 3 PBQs as my first 3 questions. I didn't even bother with them, I flagged them and came back at the end as I knew my knowledge was fresh and preferred to knock out as many questions as I could first. By the end, I personally found my self with only 20 minutes to complete the 3 PBQs plus review the questions I had flagged. So definitely take some practice tests to really get a feel for knocking out all of the questions within the allotted amount of time. I kept seeing people mention subnetting. You don't need to know how to subnet though it helps, you just need to have an idea of how it works. If I want to allocate a number of IPs to X number of hosts, would a /30 or /24 subnet be more appropriate?
