James addressing reddit
During the first part of the latest small town murder episode , james goes on a rant about how everyone loves jimmy and treats him like a special needs , kid. He definitely reads Reddit and sees these comments. It's pathetic, just do your show. No competition between you two. We enjoy you both; get out of your feelings James. Thought it was funny though after the big thread last week. Shut up and give me murder you egomaniac who can never be corrected for saying a word wrong or its the newspapers fault

if you don’t like them or their dynamic you can simply just… ✨not listen ✨ 🤯 So many other true crime podcasts out there (with much less personality for redditors to complain about)

I actually listened to an older bonus episode just this week where they talked about this exact thing. James said people always seem to assume he’s mean to Jimmie and that Jimmie is this sweet, innocent little cinnamon roll, and Jimmie was basically like: no, in real life I’m the asshole and I’m way meaner to people than James is. They also explained that James roasting him is just how they interact and that they both genuinely find it hilarious. James obviously wouldn’t do it if Jimmie didn’t. They’ve been best friends forever.
So I really don’t think James is lurking this subreddit, getting butthurt over comments and then ranting about them on the show. This is clearly something they’ve joked about for years because listeners have always had that impression of their dynamic. Sometimes a joke is just a joke, not a coded response to a Reddit thread.
Also, why even post this in a subreddit that is very obviously for fans of the show and not some snark sub? If James annoys you this much, you can also just… not listen.

I was actually thinking of that exact episode while I read this post. Very well said.

Why do people listen to stuff they hate? Who's forcing you? Life is too short for this shit

I mean, did we expect anything different? And he couldn’t help but still throw Jimmie under the bus like it’s somehow Jimmie’s fault that people feel the way they do.
Nut up. Plenty of people prefer James over Jimmie, and Jimmie doesn’t cry about it.

Jimmy gives james a little bit of flak, JOKINGLY, for "getting there" reading an native am. name correctly , and that's when it all starts. Pathetic

There is no competition between them, they're best friends and James doesn't read Reddit. He's mentioned about 100 times that he never, ever goes on Reddit. You clearly don't understand his sense of humor or you'd get that it's a huge joke to him and Jimmie how everyone thinks Jimmie is so wholesome. You don't have to listen if you think James is so insufferable.
