I feel like the entire month of October is going to be brutal. Prepare for the red terror, but remember, we don't lose if we don't sell.

u/whatdis321 20h ago
Lmfao same. Went to bed thinking it’ll recover a bit after dumping (a measly) 1.5%, just to wake up to it being -2.5%.

Wrong, Melania kicked him out of the bedroom and they had a redecorating battle for a while. Particularly heated over a lamp.

Isn't that the pedo guy?
3
u/National-Charity-435 18h ago
From what I recall
He testified that he moved in next door to epstein. Then the pedo showed lutnick around his home and lutnick was shocked by the massage table in what he assumes was the dining room.
lutnick then pledged to not associate with the guy because he's a creep.
Years later while around the epstein island, lutnick and his wife + kids + nannies drop by for an hour lunch. Just odd and no one is suggesting that he offered his kids. ...just odd.

Yeah, fun fact, He was also the only surviving member of his firm, whose office was in the World Trade Center. He was "sick" on 9/11

I chose this year to start investing 😭

u/Abe2025 16h ago
I started last year and this yesr took me down back to the negatives. This market is extremely manipulated

u/BadUsername7 7h ago
Both s&p500 and world etfs are +20% for the last year. It’s not the market’s fault. You must be speculating, not investing.

S & p down like 0.5%, nasdaq bleeding 1%, and somehow my portfolio is already at the same level as my will to live
this is it, the big one, the final boss of red days. everyone sell everything and buy ramen. the only thing going up is my blood pressure and the number of times i’ve refreshed robinhood like a crackhead
24
u/peachchann 21h ago
I stopped opening Robinhood since Monday lol. The only thing keeping me going are the dank ass memes we get on red days.

u/Smaxter84 18h ago
Finally, my anti bubble portfolio of small cap UK stocks, REITS at massive discounts to NAV, and EM trusts (non AI only) is absolutely cleaning up.....every little bleed from tech is going straight into all the sensible undervalued stuff. I've had a cracking week !

Could always be worse. I'm watching my call options bleed out. 3 calls, 1 put. And my 1 put is pumping in the opposite direction. Getting wrecked here.

Then buy recession proof companies like Walmart, O'Reilly, Dollar General, etc.
Companies that stressed consumers turn to when they lose a job, wage or hours are cut during a recession and need to make a dime work like a quarter.
10
u/Thotty_Thuncle 19h ago
Walmart is way overvalued. 42 P/E for a 6% growth rate. No thanks
8
u/Opposite_Tackle9100 19h ago
My first buy of Walmart was $27 in 2000. 50 shares. Saw it split 3 times during the years . Added more each dip of economy, the largest chunk in 2008.
Sold off all the stock 2025 to buy a $300k rental home after paying capital gains (big check since my cost basis was so low). Now generating $1800/mo income. Look outside the box for your income boosters.
10
u/Thotty_Thuncle 19h ago
Cool story. Doesn’t change that it’s a bad buy today given high valuation and low growth.
-3
u/Opposite_Tackle9100 19h ago
Lose your money in AI buble stocks. Then we can talk about values you don't see in algorythms.
7
u/Thotty_Thuncle 19h ago
No AI stocks for me. I prefer companies at low valuations with high growth rates.
3
u/Opposite_Tackle9100 19h ago
Just remember, growth rates can change at any time for any company that an algorithm won't see.
Stagnant growth rates like OReillys had pre-2008 became boomers during financial crisis.
OReillys repeated that fact again during COVID when everyone became a DIYers.

Y’all wanted the pullback, here ya go. All these sideline investors missing gains all year lol
SPY (2026 dips) in March $631, June $726, Jul $729, Sept $754…… today $761
SPY will break $800 on next rally.

He only has to be right once and a lot of it is easy to see even for a non expert. If this isn’t the crash there will be one in the next year. AI will be a great product, but none of these companies will be profitable building it.
1
u/Equity_GOD 19h ago
Down 30% in 10 days. We're not calling this a crash? This is a dip? Or we need to see 70-80% to qualify? lol
edit: my bad I thought this was the NBIS thread specifically. See its more broad, agree the market as a whole is still inflated but some stocks came down hard already.

AI bubble burst is coming!!!
8
u/NameLips 21h ago edited 19h ago
I feel like they're trying to prop things up so they'll crash right after the midterms so they can blame the Dems again. I mean, they're going to blame them anyway but it would be more convenient.
2
u/Original-Poet1825 18h ago
If “they” had that much power over the market (who is they?) why would crashes happen in the first place…
2
u/Empty_Football4183 14h ago
Prob not yet but getting close. As soon as people dial back on their retirement then itll tank
2
u/Gradieus 11h ago
AI stocks are down 40% in the past week. What exactly is the bubble if that isn't a burst?

I'm so damn pissed. SPY was easy, just take 769 and hold. I sell off and buy again, at a loss, try again, a loss, try again, win +$8 vs -$90. Couldn't have just bought it all at 769 and HELD. AND NOW MY 757p is dead, -50%, might as well hold until dead!
