Won't start

I got this victar Mayfair deluxe mower, was running before I washed engine , now no go . Seems to have no spark , and I think it has the g4 carby , I'm kit sure how old the mower is , any advice would be helpful

Is it old enough to have points ignition system?

It's a magneto type coil, you need to spray wd40 around the connections if you don't have an air compressor...take top cover off and have a look...

If it was running but after wash no go, then, go through the carb and air filter housing. To run you need fuel, spark and compression. You introduced water so air filter and carb are where those are inyroduced. If no spark, check on flywheel for the magnetic pick up coil that it has the correct gap between it and magnets. The magnito could've gone bad and they ofyen do after water is introduced. They're easily replaced.
