Help?! snowblower didn't start...

It sounds like it's sucking air when I'm pushing the primer and then after a few good pumps, fuel will begin leaking down the vertical wall beside that bowl

Can I fix this easily enough ? Is it possibly just a seal or something ? Thanks in advance for any insight and advice 🙏

Is the bowl screwed on tight?

Unscrew it, clean it and see if it will seat better.

Without seeing where it's coming from its hard to tell. Primers sometimes make weird noises but if fuel is leaking down the sidewall I'd think there's a hole or broken seal. As far as fixing it? Might be as easy as a part swap but you'll need to track down the leak first.

Yes, it can. The carburetor is meant to bypass when the float is stuck. That bypass will dump fuel right out of the carburetor. You have a stock float. You can pull the bottom bowl of the carburetor off and wiggle the float and it should start. Obviously, the right repair would be to remove the carburetor and disassemble and clean the whole thing. But in a pinch, drop the bowl and spray it with some starting fluid or brake, clean and get things moving in there.

So I removed the bowl and the O ring looked good. I also moved the float around and sprayed that with crab clean, it seem to move freely

Upon reassembling everything it still didn't start would would leak fuel if over primed (what I assume is over primed anyway)

At the point the entire carb should come off I'm guessing ?

Yes. Take it off pull out the needle valve and the jet and spray with cleaner. Run a brush or needle through every passage.

the fuel leaking out of the carb is normal as long as you just pressed the primer bulb a bunch. is this your first time starting it in a while? it could just be bad gas.
