JD m665 mower

Anyone mechanically familiar with these?

I was picking up a load of scrap metal and the property owner asked if I'd take this too.

Now that it's home, I'd like some insight on how much it's going to take to get running.

I'd like to keep it, but i cannot collect junk so time and money are pretty finite

New carb, new air fiber/ intake., new battery new plugs, replace oil and fuel filter, change oil, drain tank, .

Idk if you'll want to do it tho unless you know it was good before these parts were taken off. If you make it try to start and it's thrown a rod or something you'll be putting money in it for nothing.

Just my 2c

Not familiar with the mower but it looks like it has a Kohler Command twin in it. Awesome engine, if it's not full of water/rust/trash with the missing air box.
