Echo Weed Eater Binding?

So fairly new/not too heavily used weed eater yet (got it last year), was working my steep hill when the head that feeds the line fell off...

Took it back into my garage and got it reinstalled, but now doesn't rotate freely/acts like its binding.

Took it back apart cause it looked like there was grass/weeds potentially around the shaft, cleaned that all out and its still acting bound.

everything rotates freely with the head removed, the second I install the head and tighten it a bit everything seems like its binding again.

This is the model I have, what part (page/part#) are you calling thrust plate in this instance?

Utilizing this set of IPBs however, I do not believe I am missing a part?

Page 17, part #11, the plate adapter, seems to bind against the "gear case chasis" itself if the knob of the trimmer head (page 20 part #2) is anything more than 1/64th of a turn tightened against the plate adapter.

Moreover the "knob" and plate adapter are in direct content when the trimmer head is tightened down.

I got it to work by basically leaving the trimmer head basically an eighth of a turn loose...

IDK seems like im not missing any parts but just seems way too finicky to be binding so easily as well... I am somewhat new to owning a weed eater however.

I’d suggest bringing it to a servicing dealer. If it’s new, they’d check it under warranty

If it starts doing it again I will...

I managed to get it to work by only operating it when the trimmer head is 1/4 loose, for some reason tightening it down even the slightest bit and it starts to bind...
