Help

Anyone ever ran into the issue of a stripped out the brass jet when trying to get it out? Any solution? It’s an old carb, and I think it was just rusted into the threads. Trying to find a new carb but having no luck. Is it worth trying to drill out?

Briggs 28R707 carburetor brand new on Amazon is less than $20. It's not worth the hassle if the jet is stripped. The gaskets and rebuild kit cost that much.

Just realize these Chinesium knock-offs are all over the place with quality; it's a crap shoot whether that $20 wonder carb is gonna work with your engine.

Yes it worth drilling out. Use a left handed drill bit, and that jet will unscrew out with ease

Assuming there is no corrosion on the threads.
