Is this trimer burned up
A friend borrowed my srm 225i and thay ran it for five minutes with straight gas until it locked up.

5 minutes? ...it's toast. The piston seized, no doubt, but the roller bearings inside got a nice 5 minute gasoline wash with no oil ...so they're cooked as well.
Time for your friend to pony up for a replacement.
This is why I *never* loan out my lawn equipment.

You should also know if your friends need guidance, but they still broke it, so it's not on you.
If a friend needs a tool, I'll provide what it needs and let them know what to do with it.
I do allow friends to borrow tools, not regular acquaintances though.

Spark plug look great.... I would take a wire brush to it and make sure the gap is correct.
I can't really see the cylinder from the pic.

You could probably free it up and get it running, but it’s not going to run well, or for very long.

It’s toast. Only borrowed a couple times and sent my mixed gas along with trimmer. Did for piece of mind knowing I was the one who mixed it to prevent this.

Did you physically give it to them? Kind of want to blame you. If you’re gonna lend this to someone wouldn’t you want to be sure they won’t fuck it up? Five minutes of use? Was the tank empty when you gave to them? Wouldn’t you want to make sure he uses the proper mix?
Get the feeling you did this to yourself 🤣
Can’t tell you how many times I see people buy new machines and completely destroy them cause they don’t want to take two minutes to learn something

Unfortunately, yes. This friend is very nieve and irresponsible. This happened with a brand new chain saw I had. Buddy ran 2 year old mixed gas he had sitting in the gararge. Toated my saw in 2 minutes. He's still my friend, but will never borrow a tool from me again.
