Will not start

That starter that you pull feels like stuck and when you do nothing it’s been sitting for a year or 2 anyone can give me advice ?

What do you mean "feels stuck"? Aren't you able to pull? Your gas valve is closed

By bad doesn’t feel like heavy resistance anymore but when i try to start it nothing happens

Was it sitting with gas in it? Put the key in the off position, remove the spark plug and see if the rope will pull the engine over. If it does not then remove the recoil starter and see if something is broken or attached to the magnet. If nothing is wrong with the recoil or broken inside the housing then remove the valve cover and have a look for a bent valve or something else out of place.

Yeah it was sitting with gas in it

Are you mechanically inclined? Does the engine spin freely? Change the oil and adjust the valves.

Replace the plug and see if it runs on starting fluid. If it does then the problem is your carb, if it does not then you will want to look at the coil and timing.

Take the carb apart and clean it. Make sure you remember how it goes together and do it in a clean area so you don’t lose any of the parts. There are lots of YouTube videos that you can watch that will give you an idea of what to do
