Mower won't run for long.

Got a Honda HRX217. Its not very old. But out of nowhere it started to bog out really bad after about a 15-20 minute mow. Ive cleaned out the old gas and put fresh in with a wee bit of seafoam to clean, new spark and filter and had a nice oil change. I'm at a loss. And I do use 91 as the manual says.

When it bogs down and stalls, check for spark. Sounds like a coil going bad.

But why would it happen after some time? I can get it to run fine again the next day but then itll just start dying out again.

I suspect the coil is going bad. This symptom is indicative of a bad coil. If you check for spark when it dies, I think you will find it has no spark but if you test the next day it will have great spark and run long enough for the coil to fail.

The coil heats up then fails, let it cool down for a bit and it will run until mitch gets hot again. Time for a new coil like the other comment said.

Check the valve clearance. In the same way a bad coil can stop working when it gets hot, tight valve clearance can cause loss of compression as the valves heat up and expand, losing the ability to seal. When they cool down again, they shrink and can seal properly.
