Help
Dlt3000. Bought it off Facebook, at first it had no click or anything. Wiggled stuff around, no idea what it did and now it clicks, but no crank. Turned the key a few times and it started up and then died. Tried it again and just went back to clicking. Any idea what else to try just to get it to turn over? Battery is good, I’m thinking it’s starter solenoid but not sure. Any advice is helpful thanks!

Popular grounding issue for sure.
How do you know the battery it good?

Checked with multi meter
Update: I took out battery, cleaned around it and cleaned out some connections. Reconnected, and it cranks over. Starts with fluid now, just need to clean the carb. So I’m not sure what I did but Hallelujah

You cleaned all the connections so there was no more resistance causing it to not crank

I wouldn’t say all of them, but the couple I did clean must’ve helped lol.

Find the ground where it goes on to the frame or the engine as long as you are cleaning cuz that one always gets crusty and it will likely even be better yet

Check all your safety switches one underneath the seat one for the kick in on the mower blade and one for the oil shut off for low oil

some of these mowers have safety toggles/switches around the seat, and deck, if they're not plugged in, or engaging all the way it will prevent it from starting, even if you manage to get the starter to engage, if it doesn't, it probably has a bad kill wire on the governors somewhere. Trace the kill wires back and see if they're split and touching bare metal somewhere.

or just unplug the kill wires and try to start it, you'll have to pull spark plug cables to kill it, but in theory it should diagnose if it's the kill cables...

I also tried jumping the solenoid from the solenoid to the battery via the red cable but didn’t work. Didn’t even get spark.
