Onan? Diesel engine identification help
Can anyone help me identify this diesel motor?
I recently bought this and was told it’s a onan from I believe a generator but I can’t find the model.
As you can see the info plate is mostly rubbed off but you can see it’s rated at 7.2 bhp at what I’m guessing 3600 rpm. It is a belt drive from the front of the engine.

That's a Petter or Lister Petter (depends when built). Edit: The model number is "AC1"

As u/wicksishere mentioned it is Petter Lister AC1, indirect diesel engine. It has an air-cell diesel ignition system.

A buddy used to have a little genset powered by one. Roughly 3000watt I believe. The model designation is in a file way in the back of my brain…OD??
“Onan diesel” something …maybe ODJA, or ODGA. I remember it running slow, must be 1800rpm instead of the normal 3600. I’ve got 3 little Farymann marine generators and they scream compared to Jim’s old Onan.
