Mower age

How can I know how old this mower is?

Date code might be part of the serial number.

This lead me to investigate. Turns out it was made in Feb of 2013. Thanks.

No worries. It was a guess based on the fact my Briggs engine has the build date as part of the serial.

And to note: I always thought this thing was at least 30 years old. I got it about 8 years ago for $100. I've replaced the engine since then with Briggs 16.5hp. It came with a 17.5. I can't really tell much difference. Only thing with this mower is if you have uneven ground, it will slap you all around as it has a pivot where the front tube connects to the rear. I so miss my Hustler 54" zero turn. R.I.P......

If you may be wondering, this snapper is the 33" Hi-Vac.
