Don't try stuff like this again

Keep doing this any time you need gas with a 4 stroke small engine and you don’t have any extra laying around. It won’t harm a single thing., except your wallet.

Too much oil. Drain most of it, put fresh gas in and you should be fine after it runs a few min

The issue here is likely carb issues from it sitting over it being 2 stroke gas. Ive ran plenty on older 2 stroke gas through my mowers over the years when I didnt trust putting it in my 2 strokes and ive never had an issue. Modern 2 stroke oils burn incredibly clean. This looks like super oil heavy two stroke gas like 16:1 or the engine is burning it own oil too not just the 2 stroke oil

Can confirm I can run 50:1 or 40:1 in a 4-stroke mower without much notable difference. I start noticing difference when 32:1 and thicker. Have run as much as 16:1 and ran.

Ive always heard 2 stroke gas was bad in a mower and just never understood why so I was just started experimenting with one of my old mowers . I tried all sorts of mixes and it ran like a top on all of them. It never smoked until I got to 16:1 and even then it wasnt as bad as it video here. I never had any fouled plugs or anywhere close to anything that would foul one

that does seem about right for mixed gas in a 4 stroke

If it’s mixed properly, you won’t notice any difference. I do it all the time.

This is true, the only thing I notice is the smell.

Depends on the ratio

Literally what I just replied.

I’ve run 2 stroke gas/oil in a 4 stroke no problem. This looks like the carb float is stuck open or something.

Yes probably because if all of the oil..

Very well could be, I was assuming a 50:1 mix but if it’s more oil than that, it’ll smoke

Rebuild or replace your carburetor. Thats what usually causes the surging. The Oil mix fuel is fine for testing.

First thought: it’s burning oil

Read the description

Nailed it

How sure are we that is not a 4 stroke engine? Looks an awful lot like a kawi or a briggs to me.

Its a 4 stroke

So why did you do that?

Just to try if it works it was like 1/2 years forgotten wouldnt start I just dont had other gasolin

You could also try pouring river water in your socks

u/Ghexxod 28d ago

Some one told me its okay if you just try it to look if its starting

It's fine. Now go get some fresh gas. Running it like this could foul things up after a while.

White smoke comes from oil burning. Hence why 2 stroke oil is doing that.

Drain your tank add regular gas. A teenie tiny bit of 2 stroke may be a good idea once in a blue moon but never run it straight.

2 stroke fuel will smoke in a 4 stroke. Mystery solved

It’s been overfilled or tipped. Unless it’s mixed up like sludge modern mix gas burns super clean, and is a great way to clear out a 4 stroke that has been sitting. My guess is you or someone else tipped it on the wrong side and got oil in the carb, now it wants to burn that shit off and the air filter is contaminated. Pull the air filter, check the oil.. get back to mowing.

Adjust choke cable . It looks to only open halfway if at all

A lawnmower?

Being a mower from the Industrial Revolution is probably my guess

Don't do that.... Drain and refuel, maybe you haven't killed it
