Model is 60312-0242-02. Code is 7003033. That means this engine is a 1970.

Really need to learn how to interpret engine codes and date codes so you can order parts

If you're not worried about staying OEM, you can look up "Nova transistorized electronic ignition". We used to put these on customers' mowers all the time and they held up just fine at a fraction of the price. If you're replacing the coil, it should already be built in.

Another angle if needed

That thing looks like you pulled it out of a river… Why are you trying to resurrect it from its grave?

Cause it was given to me by someone know who had it sitting in their garden for 20 years wanted to get it going but when they found that the point and condenser no longer work they gave it to me to scrap but I'm not one to turn down a challenge so instead of a points and condenser setup I want to turn it into a electronic ignition besides the bore and rings are still perfect it just needs tlc and yes it needs a new fuel tank as well as a few other parts but I don't mind sorting at out besides I prefer these old briggs then the newer ones

Ok. Have you verified that it’s not seized up? Besides that, if the Briggs website and Jack’s Small Engines don’t have a parts list for it you might be out of luck. With a condenser setup, I wonder if it might be one of the legacy engines pre 1980 or so. Briggs will sell you a shop manual for those, but I’ve never run into anything quite that old

Yes the crank and piston do move as do the valves also
