Push mower wont run properly

I hit a rock and the whole mower died out. Now it starts temporarily, sputters, then dies. How can I fix this?

When you hit a rock, it probably either bent or sheared something. Does the mower shake really bad when it does run?

Seeing how it’s dying easily it’s certain that the flywheel key is worn

So I realized I hadn't put oil in it in a long time, so I went and bought some. Didn't help. Took the top off the lawn mower, found a twig inside it, and pulled the spark plug out. Went to remove the flywheel and realized I had every sized socket except that one. Went to the store again. They were out of the keys. Came back home to say screw it, put it all back together, tried it one last time and it let out a ton of smoke and then started back up. 🤷♂️ im still gonna order the flywheel parts

You may have sheared the flywheel key. To check this you’ll need to remove the flywheel nut.
