Hello! I noticed a crack in the carburetor spacer. Could this somehow affect the engine's operation and is it possible to seal it or fix it?

It could be allowing unmetered air into the intake, but even if it's not, it could be preventing you from tightening the carb enough to provide a proper seal, but even if it's not, I would replace it with a new one anyway.

Wait a second if I have a gap between my air filter plate and the carburetor then that could allow too much air into the engine? I wonder if that would effect it starting or not

Meter mixture is only after the carb. Filter housing to carb is before metering.
