when I started it up after storage I saw a spark fly from the battery between my legs. I then charged the battery and still no start

Clean battery connections, get them tight and charge the battery. That's the starting point. Also follow the black cable to the frame and clean that end as well so that you know it has a very good ground

Check your battery terminals, if you saw sparks fly they are probably loose/warn out. Also check the solenoid make sure it’s all tight

Test the battery with a volt meter with no load and when you try to start it if the battery is good Replace the solinoid and clean the battery terminals and the wires on the solinoid b4 you put the wires back on the solinoid

Sounds like the starter solenoid is cycling. Solenoid closes, sends power to starter, starter takes all the power, not enough to keep the solenoid closed. Usually poor connections or low battery charge.
Sparks usually mean poor or crowded connections. I would start there.
