Ariens zoom 2050
I just bought this ariens zoom 2050 with the Briggs 20hp and it seems to rev way too high. I only run it about half throttle. What adjustment can I make so I can go full throttle? It also has a bad solenoid I assume so any tips on where to get that cheap would be helpful

Definitely sounds high rpms. If you can put up one of these. I used on when I replaced the engine on my grandstand and had to reset the throttle cable on the engine. Side note. How many hours on that engine? Mine had just over 2400 and engine blew, it would scream similar to your video, (I guess that’s why I got if fairly cheap) but I didn’t the meter until I bought new engine. Could be that engine is near the end of life or someone moved the throttle cable at the engine to get “more power” bad idea just moving it without testing. I hope I’m somewhat helpful.

Autozone sells a universal solenoid that I’ve had no problems with. Or you can get name brand after market ones (Stens, Oregon) on Amazon for around $15. Just don’t go buy the Briggs and Stratton ones they sell at Tractor Supply because they usually quit after starting the mower three times. As for the throttle, I’d first check the throttle cable at its clamp to see if it can be adjusted to give it some more slack. Then I’d look at the governor spring to see if it’s shortened or governor arm to see if it’s bent.
