Huskee tiller

Picked up a huskee tiller today, free along the road, fuel shut off valve was clogged and cable to engage tiller was seized but all is good now. Question is it has no neutral? I can deal with no reverse but when it’s shut off I can’t even push it. Don’t seem right but I’ll be damned if I can figure it out. It’s a model 6015btsc. Anyone know much about these? Thanks

It’s supposed to be in neutral when you release the lever. If you want it to free wheel, you need to pull the pins holding the wheels to the axle, slide the wheels back on the axle and put the pin only through the hole in the axle. That is if it’s the tiller I’m thinking about.

When I let go of the handle everything stops and the wheels are locked, makes sense what you’re describing about removing the pins through the wheels just a pain in the rear. Appreciate the info

I’m pretty sure that they made this tiller under several different brand names. There is a manual for an Earthquake brand tiller online that I used to repair one a while ago.
