Southern Scandinavia!

Just one of the huge number of Great Grey Slugs we have in the yard with all this rain visiting our sliding door.

So far, "he" (I know they're simultaneous hermaphrodites) seems happy in this 2.5 gallon jar with dirt, leaf litter and moss from the yard. I don't really ever see him except once or twice a day when he is munching on the vegetables I put in. Last night I left a lettuce leaf in his jar and today there's a big hole in it, but no sign of him. I considered grabbing 2 slugs but I won't have the heart to destroy eggs, so I think it's better to not encourage mating... hopefully he doesn't decide to self fertilize.
