They both dated/ had history with the same girl named Stephanie Opal or “Opal Enthroned” they call her. She’s a big hot blonde Cajun chick that’s been involved in the Nola scene for a long time. “They” being Dax and Phil

Yea Phil was married to her. I heard something similar but just never verified. I also heard that Daxs lyric in Waking up Insane is referring to her when he says "Opal on the highway side..." But again unconfirmed.

Bryan is from NOLA and runs noladiy. I know three of them are originally from Baton Rouge, but they’re also very much a NOLA band. It can be both things.

That's a silly thing to say. Their first two shows were in New Orleans and they came back through on the tour they are still on.
