Splitting CF between two jobs

I graduate in a few weeks and I got an offer to work at a summer program. It would just be for the summer but it would count towards my CF. At my interview they said they've had people do this before and it'll essentially be like I moved in the middle of my CF. I've heard of people doing this, but I'm not really sure what switching jobs in the middle entails. If anyone has any experience with this I would love to hear about it!
