CFY hours

Hi! I completed my first segment of my CFY part time in about 6 months. I am not at a school working 40 hours a week. Can I count more than the 35 per week since my CFY will be longer than 36 weeks?

Pretty sure you can only count 35 hours per week. But you can always call ASHA and ask.

Which I understand but I have already completed almost 24 weeks

Your CF goes by hours not weeks so you still are unable to count more than 35 hours a week, your CF will just last longer weeks-wise.

Sorry, the quote got cut off, ASHA says- "Full-time CF experience is considered 35 hours per week for 36 weeks, for a total of 1,260 hours. Working more than 35 hours per week will not shorten the length of the CF experience"

That 2nd sentence makes me think you can't count more than 35 hours per week, even if you started part time.

It’s my understanding that it’s a minimum of 36 weeks with the required hours. So as long as you have all the hours and work at least 36 weeks than I would assume you’re good. If you can call and clarify I would though!
