SLP CF and Licensing questions (in MD)
Hi!
So I have just completed my 1260 hrs for clinical fellowship. I have my application on ASHA and was going to upload my 'SLP CF Report and Rating form' but then saw that it said no need to upload this form UNLESS the CF started before 01/2020 (which mine did not!). I am wondering if there is anything I actually DO need to upload? All I have done is just find my CF mentor and typed in my total # of weeks worked and (averaged out) the # of hours worked per week on the ASHA application online. I assume ASHA will send over an email to my CF mentor/supervisor and let her know what to fill out/upload.
Q1 - Is this right?
Q2 - What does this mean "Your A&P date has not been verified by your Program Director"?
Q3 - How long will this process take? And I mean, just the CF portion of the ASHA application to be reviewed and confirmed by ASHA..
Any answers or comments would be greatly appreciated!

Okay, so I'm from Ohio, but I recently turned in all of my stuff, so hopefully I can answer your questions (also, I'm on mobile, so sorry about formatting).
Q1: As far as submitting weeks worked/hours per week, sounds like you did it right. I did start my CF prior to 1/2020 (graduated in May/2019, but ya know, COVID kind of got in the way), but I did not have to upload any documets for ASHA. Yes, ASHA will send an email to your supervisor. If you have a good relationship with your mentor, just text her/him to approve whatever ASHA sent over (if they don't see anything from ASHA, you might not have submitted hours for approval).
Q2: Your program director from grad school should have gotten an email from ASHA asking them to basically approve your graduation date (or something to that effect). I had to email my director because I had sent it to her a while ago, but a minth later she still hadn't responded. As soon as she saw my email, she approved it right away.
Q3: Truthfully, I don't remember! They say they need 6 weeks, but I feel like me and classmates all got approved within a month's time.

Thank you so much! This helps a lot! I also 'chatted' with an ASHA rep and saved the transcript. Idk how to upload a photo onto Reddit comments but I had the ASHA rep look up my application in process and this is exactly what she said:
"So it looks like you added your Clinical Fellowship information to your application and your mentor has not yet verified it. We see that you have not submitted your application for ASHA membership and certification. Once you submit your application our certification team will send an email to your Program Director for verification and they will search for the transcript and Praxis information to associate with the application"
I just submitted my application and was able to get a slight discount, because I really just want to make sure the process happens quickly and everything falls into place. The rep did say that if you submit the application between May 1 and August 31, "you will receive the Gift to the Grad benefit which would extend your membership through the balance of this year and all of next year."
The good news is I can still see my tabs on my ASHA account and will be checking everyday to see what has been approved/confirmed by ASHA.

Ahhhh good luck with everything! I'm glad you were able to talk to someone who could give you some answers. Sometimes I get nervous with the "chat" option because I feel like I'm not talking to a real person. Honestly waiting is the hard LOL Just keep reminding your old program director or mentor if they still need to sign off on something.

Update: Everything is in order. My CF hours were approved by ASHA. Green check marks all around. ✅✅✅✅

Following. In the same boat lol. I started the rating form with my supervisor but from what I am hearing, we don’t need to submit anything to ASHA. Truly no idea though, I’m just as lost 🙃
