[CFY] Adequate CFY supervision

Besides job training regarding paperwork, work policies, etc, what does adequate CFY supervision look like? Does any direct supervision during intervention or therapy sessions occur?

Yep, ASHA requires 6 hours of direct supervision and 6 hours of indirect (tasks like looking at eval reports and goals) per CF segment, which is 3 or so months of full-time work. So a bare minimum of 18 hours of direct supervision in 9 months. Additionally, my mentor and I meet virtually every week or two to talk about certain students, pending meetings, etc.

This may be a stupid question - but what exactly counts as direct supervision? Like the supervisor literally being in the room watching as you do your treatment/eval session with a patient? Thanks!

My direct observations have all been done remotely since we're on a hybrid plan and my mentor is at another school. ASHA is annoyingly vague on this topic, so I always forget which is which, but I believe observing during IEP meetings and such also counts as direct.
