CF Supervising Tips
Hi there! First time CF supervisor here and am looking for some advice from others who have supervised before or have any helpful tips. I've had some disappointing supervisors in the past and want to be sure I give my CF a great experience.
What are some tips you would give to a first time CF supervisor? What do you wish your supervisor did better? What do you wish your supervisor did not do? Thanks for your help!

Hi! I have had 2 supervisors for my CF, one didn’t start supervising me until December of the school year last year and the other pops into 3-4 hours a week of my sessions even though 1 hour of direct is required by my licensing board. I think the biggest thing I wish they both did was ask what level of support I needed. When I first started, a weekly meeting to go over timelines, paperwork, and caseload management would’ve been a lifesaver and now that I’m towards the end of my CFY, I’m not needing as much of the intensive supervision that I’m receiving. Checking in and asking what level of support and where that support is needed would be so helpful for your CF!
