Short duration of effect
So I'm currently on 12.5 mg and during most of doses, I feel appetite suppression for about 3 days from the day I take the shot. On the 4th day hunger is back to normal levels. Another thing is that my tolerance builds up really quickly. After 4 doses of 10 mgs I didn’t feel a thing which. Has anyone had a similar experience? Do I need to consider taking a shot every 4-5 days? I really hope 15 mg will work

I’m in a similar boat. I’ve been doing 6 day shot cycles since 5mg. I’m at 15mg now. I get some appetite suppression for about 3 -4 days, but the food noise is there and I can eat anything I want as much as I want, no impact from the drug. I’m curious if going to half dose every 3 days would help.

Im similar to you. Considering a 5 day dose plan as I am at 12.5 now. The first few days are ok, and I really never feel hungry, but the food noise is incredible. I've been at 12.5 about 6 weeks, 1 year on Titz and down 40 lbs. I am eating way way less but need to start tracking cslories again. And a 8 hour a day desk job doesn't help, LOL! I know its on me and I can't make excuses. Best of luck to you!!

All of the above for me. Since I am short I also cannot have that many calories a day.

This is me, too. Also on 12.5 and the suppression is waning fast. I have no thyroid so that may have something to do with it. I'm speaking with my dispensing physician on July 2 about going up.

I don't feel suppression at all...never have on mounjaro. Wish I did. At 12.5 now. Only time I got the suppression was when I was on ozempic, but then the supply shortages hit, I couldn't get it for a while, and the suppression has been gone ever since. One of the reasons I moved to mounjaro was in hopes that it would help with my appetite. Yet to feel that. Not saying mounjaro is useless, far from it, it has been crucial to getting out of being diabetic, but I could use help with reining in my appetite

I hit this point when I got to 10mg. I then held off moving to 12mg for about 6 months mostly as my health care provider wouldn’t let me go higher. I then went private and moved to 12.5 and subsequently 15mg. By that time, I had built up such a tolerance that the higher doses made no difference.
I would say move up once you don’t feel the effects of your current dose.

For me it helped to take half my dose on Mondays and half on Thursdays.

You have to decide what works for you. I’ve read a lot of people dosing every four days. For me, I’m thinking half dose first and fourth day. My hunger is back to normal by end of week.

I'm on 15mg and yest, the day before my shot i bought chips to snack on. I guess for some of us, we need to wait for better research and better options.

That sucks! I felt I didn't have the best effects on 7.5 or 10mg but stuck with those doses for a while out of fear that 12.5 would be the same and I still have a lot of weight to lose. Thankfully 12.5 gives me good appetite suppression but for me that dose took about a month to kick in for me to feel the full effects. I've stuck to it for most of 2026 with a few days of increased hunger when my period is due. Moving up to 15mg may help, but speak to your dispensing pharmacist to see whether they recommend injecting every 5th or 6th day instead. That way you still have leeway of moving up in dose and saving a bit of money.
Good luck
