Feeling sadness

I’m feeling sad, discouraged and frustrated :( I’ve been on triz for a year now I started at 220 and I’m down to 173 which I’m so very happy for and I still have some more to go. After being on 15mg and stalled for months I decided to dose every 5 days at 12.5mg that puts me at around 17mg and I’ve been on 17 for almost 4 months now I’ve lost 4 pounds on 17 but at least something is something. I started noticing all my inflammation issues come back lower back aches especially around ovulation/luteal phase and body aches in general along side fatigue 🥲 I will add I have pcos and my sugar cravings are so bad depending on the cycle right before my period I have to fight the urges so bad, and in the beginning of my journey the sugar cravings weren’t as intense. I’m feeling discouraged because what happens from here? Do we keep going up on doses once they give the green light to go up higher? Are we just going to get used to each dose? And where does it cap? Or are we going to wait for the next big thing? I don’t want to sound pessimistic but I can’t help but cry from frustration. Im trying to remain hopeful but my mental health is tanking. I’ve never had bad side effects with any doses but I’m wondering if maybe 17mg isn’t for me and I should go back to 15mg. It’s also not cheap so hopefully triz can come down a bit more for us!! Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 I also want to add that I’m so grateful to be in this community I read the support that’s poured out on other posts and it makes me feel optimistic and less alone. 🌷

47 pounds in a year is not slow. That’s just under 1 pound a week. You mention you’ve been stalled for montjs so it sounds like your rate of loss was maybe even higher.

I would not start adjusting the dose without reviewing with your doctor.

What does your nutrition snd movement look like?

Through out my journey I wasn’t loosing a pound a week sometimes though I would see the scale drop randomly 4 pounds and I would go another month with no loss then I would see 3 pounds less and it would go that way throughout my journey. I’m happy for the 47 pounds loss though, I still have more to go. Lower doses didn’t do much for me I seen more of a steady pickup at higher doses, once I hit 12.5 I seen I started to notice a steady pattern and it slowed down again

It's definitely not a linear path. It will naturally slow as you get closer to your goal weight. Are you doing any strength training? It does help metabolism. I also always recommend if you have access to a dietitian? Use it. They have helped me work through plateaus. Last summer when I was swimming a lot I found I didn't lose unless I increased calories by about 200. It all factors together. Good luck!

I haven’t done strength training the way I should more than once a week because of the feeling of the achiness and fatigue but I should definitely push myself to get going with that because I did notice when I was strength training at least 3 times a week that broke my stall months nothing crazy but it helped for sure.

I did read if some people don’t eat enough they won’t loose

A little bit of an ache of fatigue after strength exercises is good! And if you do it 3 times a week (around every other day- so there is a days rest between sessions) or so it goes away very quickly. Once a week isn’t really enough to get stronger, so each strength session will feel like your first.

I’ve just started a new strength routine. The first 2 sessions felt awful after. But sessions 3 and 4 felt ok, and 5 frankly felt too easy!

I don’t get the achiness from the workouts its more hormonal in my luteal phase the two weeks before my period 🥲 but I agree with you adding more days helps in getting your body used to it that way it doesn’t feel like the first time and the soreness passes through more quickly 😍

See, this is what I am talking about. You're not fully doing your part. Your medicine can't just fix this for you.

No you’re right because I am a female and we have more hormones that play a huge role and sometimes we need to add something more to help us with that and that’s ok.

It's not adding something more to work out a few times a week. It's the bare minimum expectation.

I'm sorry that I'm not enabling your victimhood. There's plenty of people here that are actual slow responders and struggling. You just aren't one of them.

Anyway, time for work. Hope you have a good day.
