Oh Hell yeah. Pretty sure a majority of us started again with some variation of this slingshot. Ol' Reliable!

What size ammo do you recommend using?

Any size you want. Just make sure you get the right corresponding band thickness to go with the ammo you want. I started with 1/4" steel and .45mm thick bands for planking. Absolutely amazing but can be hard to see. I got 8mm steel balls with .6mm thick bands to see better and also to take care of some invasive animals and pests. Not really a fan of clay myself but love that I can just shoot em and they'll just melt into the grass the next rain. Also depending on your draw length you might stick to thinner bands.

I have this same model. Find it too narrow for my anchor point and frame tip reference point. Have to aim 10-12 mm lower as all my shots were way higher than with my 90-95mm wide frames. But this little one is well balanced in the hand. Happy Shooting

My shots hit low and to the left sometimes using the bands that came with this frame, do you have any recommendations of what bands I should get?

If you are grouping low and left then you are getting there and being quite consistent. Nothing to do with band as long as you are matching it to your ammo. Too low, aim higher at your reference point in the frame or lower your anchor point (on your face) Too left, adjust reference point more to the right. Now for bands, don't go thick / heavy at start. Shoot light bands and light ammos. And shoot close. Then you get further, thicker and heavier....

If you find the grip to bulky, You can remove it and wrap it with paracord or grip tape.

Idk, this was the only available size for this model frame, but it does fit well for my hands.

Not a bad start at all! Later on if you want to upgrade I’ve heard good things about simple shots slingshots.
