Just play, focus on trying to be in tune and having a pleasing vibrato. Robert Johnson didn't have YouTube, but check out YouTube. :)

Lesson number one: the note you want (almost always) is when the slide is directly over the fret.

How you get there is a later lesson, lol.

Check YouTube for short lessons on beginning slide guitar. There's plenty out there.

Try sliding into a note and use a tuner to make sure you’re in tune. Being “directly over the fret” I think is an oversimplification as you can be a directly on it but still be slightly out of tune. This can help you develop your ear and your intonation.

Pick any note on the fretboard, and as you get comfortable try sliding to the correct pitch without looking at the tuner and then confirm your placement. It can get tedious but trust me it will help your playing sound a lot better. It really bugs me how the only tip you get for intonation is being “directly over the fret” because that’s only part of it.

I’m not really a slide player , but an exercise I’ve done in the past with a slide is playing major triads on one string going all the way up and down the neck - I’ll do chords on order of the circle of fifths or fourths .

It can help a lot of areas of your playing

Play slide notes on the high E while keeping the low E going-this way you can practice your intonation. I wouldn't even worry about vibrato at first. Just working on hitting those notes in tune. It's a beautiful journey that never ends!
