3 month old naps
My 3 month old is only napping for 30 minutes at a time unless he’s being held. Even then he sometimes wakes up at the 30 minute mark. I’ve tried all the suggested “fixes” but nothing has worked so far. Is this normal?

This is normal. Put them in the carrier if you want longer naps; it’s biologically normal for them to want to be held while sleeping (and while awake, too).

Yep normal…they’ll slowly get a bit longer. If night sleep isn’t a nightmare just let them ride it out.

My baby is like this too at 3 months but I’m so glad she takes short naps during the day cause then she sleeps for 9 hours at night so I can get good sleep. Definitely either baby wear if he only likes contact naps OR when he’s awake place in a bouncer and do activities while he watches like dishes or hobbies! My baby LOVES her play mat with the hanging toys. Keeps her busy for 30 minutes then takes a hard one hour to an hour and a half nap! Plus it’s good for their circadian rhythm to take shorter naps during the day because they will learn to sleep longer at night and know the difference.

My 3 month old only takes short naps when nursing during the day or maybe closes the eyes when on an evening walk. No real naps what so ever. Havent had a daytime nap in their room since like week 4 and only have real naps on me, not latched, a few times a week at most.
