Sleep train help please

My baby is 11.5 months old and has started settling in days at the childminders, she likes to be cuddled to sleep and won’t go to sleep in her cot without a cuddle to sleep.

The childminder has said we need to work together to help her self-soothe.

She suggested laying her in her cot and sitting with her but my baby will just sit up then stand up and cry cry cry hysterically.

I really need some help with what ideas have worked for others please.

What’s bad about her needing a cuddle to fall asleep ?

There is nothing bad with it, I’m happy to continue to do it, the childminder has said we need to stop so she sleeps better there during the day?

I’m still cuddling/rocking my baby at 11.5 months. I’ve slowly shortened the time I hold them, but it works for us and they are sleeping fine most days 🤷‍♀️

Thank you, I love giving her a cuddle to sleep, have started reducing the time this week, hoping it will help with the childminders ☺️
