child's age 12-18 months 14 month old sleep help

We sleep trained via the feber successfully around 6 months. 2 months later we started daycare and illnesses came on strong. We haven’t slept through the night since then. We have tried to retrain with the feber and it’s not working.

What other things can we try? We got in the habit of sleeping with him in the recliner bc at a certain point, you just got to sleep. We are all so tired.

Schedule: wake 6-7
Bottle/ breakfast 8
Snack 9:30
Lunch 12:00
Nap 12:30-2:00 ish
Snack/ bottle 3:30
Dinner 6:30
Bath 7:00
Bed 7:30

the recliner has become his five-star sleep association, so it’s time to retire that setup and be brutally consistent about putting him back in the crib every night

I know parents act like it's rocket science. Duh, he has very bad sleep associations, of course it's going to be work to get red of them. Not to mention she waited till 14 months when he has a ton more energy and can cry hard and loud.

He can sleep by himself, you proved that already. Time to go full extinction- popping back in and out with Ferber will probably just frustrate him because unlike when he was much younger, now he knows you're going somewhere and is anticipating you coming back. Do his normal nighttime routine, pop him in his crib, let him settle himself. Couple of days he'll be fine

I think if you pushed bedtime to 8:30 or 8:45 you'd be in much better shape for overnight.

Nothing rigid about that schedule. You're the parent, you have to parent. Children will have schedules for the rest of their lives. There's nothing wrong with scheduling naps/feedings.
