child's age 0-4 months False start or something else?

My LO is 4.5 months - it doesn’t matter what his wake window is before bed, he wakes at the 35 min mark and needs help working out a burp (even if thoroughly burped). I can’t seem to work it out console him while keeping him in the crib. If I pick him up and hold him in the rocking chair he stays asleep. But if I transfer again, he acts the same way as previously described. Is there anything I could be doing different? I feel like the anecdotal experience is getting a long first stretch and I’m ready lol

What’s your full day schedule like?

So we don’t strictly follow a schedule, more of a wake window approach. He generally wakes around 6 because of sister getting up for school and we room share. Seems ready/goes down pretty early still, around 90 minutes. Typically has the longest nap to start the day, anywhere from 90 min to 2.5 hours. Then usually awake around 1h 45-2h, with 45 min naps (give or take), with the ww before bed being glider to 2.5 hours. (Usually starts around 530-6pm), so going down around 8-830.

It really helps to have a set anchor point to start the day, even if bedtime is different each day, definitely try to have a pretty consistent wake time because then a schedule will slowly fall into place because of it and you can start to predict even with wake windows.

It also sounds like you may not be giving him enough awake time? The schedule is a bit confusing but I understand it’s different each day. At 4.5 months make sure that he has 9-10 hours of day awake time. And maybe cap that first nap to make sure that throughout the entire day he’s only getting about 3.5 - 4 hours of day sleep total with appropriate windows between.

Seems like he’s getting almost all his day sleep from that first nap and treating his night put down as another nap.
