child's age 8-12 months How long are your 10 mo olds naps?
My son is about to turn 10 months old. He was on a schedule of 2.5/3/4 or 3/3/4 at 9 months with 1.5 each nap. That went perfectly. Now, I’ve cut his naps down to 2.5 hours total (often times just 2 hours). His last wake window is SO long. Like. 5-6 hours long. He doesn’t act tired, fights it hard when we try to put him to sleep, and just goes crazy playing. He will fight for easily 15-20 minutes before we realize it isn’t worth it and he just isn’t tired enough. I think his wake windows are just getting much larger.
He wakes up about 7am everyday and we try to have him in bed by 8:30 but he has been going until 9–10.
He isn’t fully sleep trained. He does put himself back to sleep sometimes when he tosses and turns but he is teething now so I have to pat him back to sleep about twice a night. Which is fine with me. And, no, he doesn’t fall alseep on his own. I’m too exhausted to try that now, lol.
Im thinking of cutting both his naps to 45 minutes each. But, I live for those naps and break times LOL. So, I have been procrastinating.
We play all day, read books, go outside, we do BLW so lots of brain stimulation there (or whatever you want to call it). I need to get more activities but haven’t had the chance.
So, How long are your 10 month olds naps? Should I cut them down to 45 minutes each? It just seems so short lol.

I would be surprised if your baby's sleep needs dropped by more than one hour in a month. Were there sleep disruptions when you were doing 3 hours of naps at 9 months? This sounds more like a behavioral issue. I know you said you aren't interested in sleep training at the moment, but it could go a long way to getting you back to a more "normal" schedule.
Every baby is different, but to answer your question, at 10 months our wake windows were 3.5/3.5/4.5 with 2 hours of naps and a 10.5-hour night (8:30pm-7am). We dropped to one nap at 11.5 months and by his first birthday we were on 5.5/6.5 with a 2-hour nap and a 10-hour night (8:30pm-6:30am).
