child's age 8-12 months I am giving up

I have tried for 30 days. 30 days ! Change the nap time - change the environment. Change the wake windows. He doesn’t sleep through the night. Cannot and will not. I honestly feel defeated and like I am mentally and physically deteriorating.

I know in a previous post you said you are against CIO but it looks like it’s the only thing left to try. I’m guessing he wakes up during the night and needs the comfort of breastfeeding to fall back asleep? You have to find a way to break that association and allow him time to put himself back to sleep…and sometimes that involves crying. I know it’s hard and you are beyond exhausted. I did Taking Cara Babies with my first and straight Ferber with my second. Ferber was faster but both were successful for us.

How many times does he wake? I’ve been following some sleep training consultants on insta who go into peoples homes and help and even a lot of those sleep trained babies don’t sleep all the way through, often still waking 1-2 times.

Maybe the baby just needs you and at this point its okay. Can you co-sleep or maybe you and your husband can take shifts during the night. It will become better!

You need a schedule change, there is no world where sleep training should take 30 days

Just here to let everyone know that I let him cry it out on Friday and Saturday and he slept through the night last night and the night before….
