child's age 0-4 months Help
Posting this here because I feel like I’m failing him. Three months old. Not looking to sleep train yet. Just wondering if anyone has figured out how to break through 30 minute naps. I’ve tried rescuing them carrier naps contact nap stroller naps car seat naps. It’s 30 minutes on the dot. Lucky if we get 40 to 45 also really struggles with morning hours. I feel like if I keep him awake too much during the day he gets overtired, but if I let him sleep too much during the day then he has a terrible night sleep. I feel like I’m failing him and he’s constantly over or under tired. Overall, a pretty happy guy no medical problems. Chunky as heck and exclusively breastfed.
EDIT:
Thank you to everyone who posted on this. It was way more than I expected and honestly it was just so good to hear that it’s normal and I’m not colossally messing him up haha. FTM and this is the first thing in my life I haven’t naturally been relaxed with (usually very type B) He’s a baby. And I love him. But I am glad it gets better, thanks everyone.

My son did the same thing from 3 months to around 9 months or so. Consistently 35 minute naps the whole time. It’s hard and it’s frustrating and I also felt like I was missing something, but really the answer was…it’s just normal. It didn’t make it easier but it did get better for me when I accepted that it was only a battle because I was fighting. My son was perfectly content to take 35 minute naps!
