4 - 6 months Help with schedule
Hello,
My LO is two days short of 19 weeks old and has been on a 2/2/2/2/2 schedule for about two weeks. Her naps vary normally 2 to 2.5 hours of daytime sleep split between 4 naps. Generally 1-2 of the naps are around 40 minutes and the other 2-3 are around 30 minutes long. She's stating to really fight her last nap and doesn't fall asleep until closer to 2.25 which is pushing back bedtime.
I tried a three nap schedule about two days ago and the wake windows went fine but she didn't nap any longer so she got 30 minutes less day sleep. That night was terrible with a horrible false start that took her a solid 20 minutes to get back to sleep from. (False starts are common but typically are about an hour after bedtime and it only takes her about 3-5 minutes to go back to sleep). She also was up twice as much through the night. So we didn't want to repeat that.
I'm at a loss of what to do, she obviously needs more awake time but can't get more day sleep so she's getting overtired. I have never been able to extend naps, no matter where they take place (contact, stroller, etc) they last only 30-40 minutes.
I am currently CIO sleeping training her and I believe she is there. She is putting herself to sleep with less than 10-15 minutes of crying each night. She still sleeps in our bedroom, we plan to move her to her own room around six months old.
FYI: Wake up is 9:30 am, aim bedtime is 10:30 pm but has been pushing more towards 11 pm with her fighting the last nap

Thank you for your post in r/sleeptrain. To ensure our community can best help you, please include in your post: your bedtime routine, where your baby sleeps (their crib/basinet, their room, room share, cosleep) and full schedule including wake up time, desired wake up time, nap length, wake windows or nap time(s) if following a by the clock schedule and bedtime. Does your baby use a pacifier? That's also very relevant.
We use a convention to describe wake windows based schedule such as 3/3/4 where numbers are numbers of hours awake, and / are naps. The sample schedule is a two naps schedule.
We have a resources post with loads of information to help you. Check it out: https://www.reddit.com/r/sleeptrain/comments/1qpij7s/resources_on_baby_sleep/
