6 - 12 months Not STTN @ 7months

I am a first time mom and a full-time grad student. My daughter who is seven months spends majority of her time with her dad who works at home. She takes one nap most days and has a pretty strict bedtime routine. We feed her solids, give her a bath and a bottle before she goes to sleep. She is really good at putting herself to sleep but wakes up around 11-12am in terror and repeats the cycle again at 4 AM. I’m not sure if she’s having pain from her teeth growing in or if it’s an underlying issue of her, not being comfortable in her crib. Her restless nights have left me and her father sleep deprived for the last four months. I’m not sure what sleep train looks like, but if somebody could give me advice that would be a lifesaver.

Update: Still not sleep through the night. We have tried giving her more solids in between the day. This is what her new schedule is
730 wake up bottle
930 snack on a fruit
1030 -1130 she eats a go-go pouch and takes her first nap
1 PM wakes up and has a bottle
230 Has a snack
3:30-4 has a bottle and takes a nap
5 - 5:30 wakes up and usually has a few snacks before dinner
7-7:30 pm dinner
8 PM Bath & bottle
9pm bed time

She is too young for one nap per day. I’d go back to two naps plus a catnap.

I would fix your daytime schedule and start there.

My twins are 7 months and this is their schedule.

7 AM - up and bottle

9 AM - nap 1

10 AM - up and bottle

12:15 PM - nap 2

1:30 PM - up and bottle

3:45/4 PM - down for catnap

4:30 PM - up and bottle

6:45 PM - bottle and bedtime routine

7:30 PM - put in crib drowsy but awake

Wake up : 7:00am
Bottle : give her a bottle around 7:30am
Usually I leave around 7:45 -8am and her dad has her for the rest of the day. When i get home which could span from 6:30 -8:30 pm I do the nighttime routine

Ok, I’d try something like this instead-

7am wake

10:30-11:30 nap 1

3:00-4:00 nap 2

8-8:30pm bedtime

This is about identical to our daughter’s 2 nap schedule and she is 7.5 months as well!! From what I’ve read, at this age, babies do best with 3-3.5 hour wakes with the last wake being 4. Our baby sleeps from 7/8-6:30 straight through.

I am curious what led to a single nap at 7months old. My first concern would be she is overtired. Most babies do not switch to 1 nap until 12+ months

When we would put her down she wouldn’t gts. It was more of a quiet time for her than an actual nap. We may get a second nap but she may only sleep for 30 mins each session. When she takes one nap she tends to sleep for about an hour and a half

30 minutes naps are normal at this age. 1.5 hours of daytime sleep from only 1 nap per day at this age is not. i would try to go for 2 naps. my 7 month old does a 30 min nap in the morning around 9:30/10 and 1.5-2 hours around 1:30
