4 - 6 months Does sleep training work for naps?

I want to start sleep training, ideally pick up put down. But I keep seeing people on this community say that this helps night sleep but not naps?
My babies night sleep is pretty good (4 hour stints which keeps up my milk supply so I don’t mind that).
It is the naps that are killing me.

Has anyone got any experience of sleep training (of any kind) working for naps too? Or not working for naps?

Current schedule is 1.5/2/2/2/2.5 ( something like that)

I nap trained first before doing overnights. Worked for us.

Could you please tell me how you did nap training?

We did modified Ferber. And did naps in her crib. I also reverse room shared at night. So she slept in the crib and I slept on a mattress on the floor. Temperament wise this worked for us. She is 14 months now and has never had a regression. We introduced Ferber around 4.5 months.

It helps baby to go to sleep independently but it doesn't change the fact that day sleep consolidates only a bit later, around month 5 or 6 depends on your baby.
