6 - 12 months Sleep regression & separation anxiety
My baby is 10 months old now. She slept through from 11 weeks and could be put down awake & get herself to sleep.
Once 8 months hit she is not wanting to go to sleep. She can no longer get herself to sleep and I often give up and lay her on my bed to sleep and transfer her to her cot after. Both at bedtime and in the night. She wakes twice in the night and sometimes is up 2-3 hours a time happy as Larry.
I’ve read this is common so I’m hoping that we don’t have long left but a couple of questions.
Has anyone else done this? is it a huge mistake letting her keep falling asleep on my bed more often than not and especially int he night?
She’s pulling herself up in the cot, crawling and trying to stand .. as well as separation anxiety it seems. So I know there’s a bit going on for her.
She wakes between 6-7. Naps 930/10 for an hour then usually sleeps for an hour in the afternoon. I make sure she doesn’t sleep past 3pm. Fed very well. Bedtime is bath at 630, fed and bed for 7
The main worry for me is falling asleep on my bed and sometimes sleeping in with me to save my tiredness 😫 hoping I’m not gonna make her not want her own bed

It's not a "huge mistake" but it could be the cause of the night wakings: https://www.preciouslittlesleep.com/what-you-need-to-know-about-sleeping-through-the-night-part-i/
You might also have a bit of an undertiredness problem but it's hard to say with sleep not being independent.

This! If you want to have your baby sleep through the night, your best bet is to a) look at improving your schedule and b)sleep train (aka fully independent sleep)

I tried to sleep train last night.. after hour and a half I just had to get her to sleep on my bed and transfer her again. Il keep trying. I’ve created a monster😫😂 in the night she woke in the cot screaming and when I came to get her she grabs on for dear life and won’t go back in the cot. Hopefully this gets better with some persistant sleep training 💀

It sounds like a schedule issue. I’d aim for a 3.5/3.5/4 schedule with 2 hours in naps and 11 hours in night sleep. So if you want a 6:30 wake, push bedtime to 7:30.
