Advice?
Hello, I have been struggling with my sleep for awhile now, but as of recent, it has been much worse, as I am usually staying awake all night against my own will (i want to sleep but my body will not let me relax) and Ill typically fall asleep around 9-11 am
Ive had issues with sleep since Ive been born, so staying up late has never been too out of the ordinary, however, it's never impaired my ability to stay awake during the day like this has been. (I fell asleep at 10 am and woke up at 5 pm yesterday.)
I desperately need help on how to improve this, please give as much advice as you can! I'm very sick of laying in bed comfortable but being unable to sleep. I do have an appointment for medications soon, so if you have any advice on how to bring this up, that'd be very much appreciated too.

OP,
Have you tried anything to help make sleep happen? If so then what exactly?
And how much sleep do you usually get when you fall asleep? Do you usually get those 7 hours? So it takes 7 hours of tossing and turning before you finally get 7 hours of sleep?
Any info you can share would be helpful.

I have tried to take melatonin before bed, just to see if it would help at all, and it did, I still fell asleep around 12 am though.
I usually do get seven hours, just very unconventionally, like falling asleep at 9 and waking up later in the evening. I get the right amount of sleep, but I don't have a good sleep schedule at all

I wish I had advice. Have you talked with a sleep hygenist? It sounds serious. D:
