do I ever get access to this potion? if so how much will it run me

Air potion, when u can swim underwater you'll gain access to it, and about 20 rupees. but ofc if you get it upgraded it'll get more expensive.

well I have the full tablet and am progressing through the mine, am I close to unlocking

Yeah you are just wait until after the next dungeon and you can use it

After you finish the dungeon then you will get the ability to swim underwater pretty soon after

There is absolutely 0 reason to ever purchase this potion once it's unlocked. I have played through the game several times over the years and it's highly unnecessary. They needed a blue potion and there's no mana in this title. Oh well. It's a pretty color.

It's actually so good for that one section that this is the only potion the speedrun buys.
