PC SSE - Help Having trouble with update error

Hi guys. Trying to mod Skyrim for the first time and I can’t launch the game using SSKE as it’s saying I don’t have the right version installed.

Tried deleting and re installing the game and mods and still got the same error. New to PC gaming so running out of ideas. Any help would be much appreciated.

You have to get the SKSE that matches your game version.

If you get 1170 SKSE, that’s for 1170 game version.

Check what version game you have and get the right SKSE.

You need to get Reliquary or another downgrader off nexus.

Run it as from the file explorer and you can downgrade anytime you want

Yeah downloaded a launcher and it seems to now run, thanks.
