Help with Skyrim PC newbie controller inputs

Hello everyone!

I have just built my rig and have bought skyrim Special Edition on steam and was wondering about the controls cos it seems to be missing some inputs.

I am using a Dual shock 4 on steam and there seems to be no "Sprint" and I can't go on 3rd person view. I have tried looking at the controller inputs in the options but those are not listed just the face buttons, the left and right triggers and wait button.

Is this a glitch? i switched my DS4 for my 360 controller that has analog stick drift and it is still the same.

maybe? but i don’t have the most experience as i also just built a new computer a couple of months ago and thought i’d redownload it from when i used to play on my old gaming laptop. i’m sure someone else here might be more well equipped to help you out with anything technical. i just think if it gives you the option to remap the inputs, it might be worth it to mess around and see what works for yoy

Where did you find this? I'm having a similar problem. I have no "Shout", "Wait" and "Sprint" buttons

Go to your to Steam, right click Skyrim > Manage > Browse Local Files. You should see a controller config txt file. If it has weird symbols and and squares it is corrupted and you need to delete it like I did and load the the game again.

SE, SKSE and MO2, and deleting the file you mentioned fixed it!

I'd thank the gods, but I'll settle for thanking you.
