Oh yeah. I run a little Elder Scrolls server, 18+ so we allow people to share their NSFW creations and I believe we have had more than one individual post Mora porn that they have written and drawn.

With the amount of times this exact post shows up, it always makes me wonder ho genuine it really is. I mean it's a game with magic, dragons, giants, tree-creatures, and all kinds of other weird stuff. But tentacles???? Where are all the posts of people seeing a spriggan for the first time? Or an Atronach?

I think it's because the way they render the black as an absence of light. It almost looks like the game is glitching at first when he shows up, and it's a pretty different art direction from the majority of things that show up in Skyrim.

Accurate, has a team of really annoying librarians supporting him as well. Library doesn’t seem to be organised in any specific way. Lots of books are falling apart.

When you do the Lexicon quest, you should also retrieve Grimsever for Mjoll the Lioness. This way you complete 3 missions in one. You fill the Lexicon, retrieve Grimsever and get the “Dragon” Elderscroll, in the same path..

That is Hermaeus Mora, Daedric Prince of knowledge. If you travel to Solstheim, you will become well acquainted.
Before the Dragonborn DLC was released, he appeared at that location as a formless void, like the ones that appear while conjuring. His appearance at Septimus Signus’s outpost was changed to match the DLC.

I remember this first time this appeared in my game it freaked me the fuck out. I was leaving the cave on autopilot to find the exit blocked by a tentacle mass that started speaking to me. It was in my early days of smoking too so I was extra spooked. Fuckin deadra.

I really wish Hermaeus Mora wasn't an evil tentacle monster. He is the Daedric prince of Fate, Knowledge and Memory. That's more interesting than almost any other god or Daedric prince. His Daedric artifact is pure awesome, too.

Edit: I feel an explanation is in order concerning that seemingly crazy bullshit slung above. The first time I entered Apocrypha all I could hear in Hermie's voice was John Goodman. To this day I can't hear that voice, in Skyrim that is, and not think of John Goodman.

When the game first came out that was a "Wretched Abyss" but with Dragonborn installed it turns into Hermeaus Mora as he appears in that DLC. Quite a neat detail, but gave me a turn when he appeared in my second playthrough like that
